How to delete your account
- Log in to the LocalSkills app
- Go to Profile → Settings
- Tap Delete Account
- You will be asked to re-enter your password
- Your account will be scheduled for deletion immediately

with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" from the email address
associated with your account, and we'll process your request within 5 business days.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, the following is permanently removed:
- Your profile information (name, email, photo, bio)
- Your login credentials
- Your posts, messages, and user-generated content
- Your saved preferences and settings
What we retain, and why
Some information is kept for a limited time even after deletion, due to legal, security, or operational requirements:
- Billing and transaction records — retained for 7 years to comply with UK tax and accounting laws.
- Anonymised usage data — retained indefinitely for analytics, with all personal identifiers removed.
- Fraud and abuse logs — retained for 24 months to protect the platform and other users.
This data cannot be used to identify you or restore your account.
How long deletion takes
Your account and personal data will be fully deleted within 30 days of your request. Some cached or backup copies may take up to 90 additional days to clear from our systems.
