1. About LocalSkills

LocalSkills is a location-based marketplace that connects residents ("Customers") with local service providers ("Providers"). LocalSkills is not a party to any agreement made between Customers and Providers.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity on your account.

3. Bookings and Services

Bookings are made directly between Customers and Providers. Providers are responsible for the services they deliver. Customers are responsible for providing accurate information about the services they request.

4. Payments

LocalSkills uses secure payment functionality to process transactions. Applicable platform fees, taxes and refunds are handled according to the payment terms shown at booking.

5. Trust, Safety and Content

Providers may be subject to identity verification. Ratings, reviews and reputation profiles help maintain trust across the platform. You agree not to post content that is unlawful, misleading or infringes the rights of others.

6. Prohibited Conduct

• Fraudulent bookings, chargebacks or misuse of payment methods.
• Harassment, discrimination or abusive behaviour toward other users.
• Circumventing platform fees by transacting off-platform.

7. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your LocalSkills account at any time. Deleting your account removes your profile from the platform and closes access to your account.

How to delete your account

1. Log in to LocalSkills using the account you wish to delete.
2. Open Profile → Settings → Account.
3. Tap Delete Account and follow the on-screen confirmation steps.
4. Alternatively, email info@localskills.app from the address associated with your account with the subject line "Delete my LocalSkills account". We will verify your identity and complete the deletion within 30 days.

Please note that certain records (such as transaction records) may be retained where required by law or to resolve disputes. Once deleted, your profile and personal data will no longer be visible on LocalSkills.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LocalSkills is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or from services provided by Providers.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email. Continued use of LocalSkills after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
